The theme of the book of Philippians is “joy.” The entire book is centered around the Apostle Paul encouraging the believers in Philippi to “choose joy” regardless of the circumstances that they might encounter in their lives. Unlike happiness, which is fleeting, the joy found in Christ is solid, consistent, and never wavers.
