Counterintuitive and somewhat unexpected, loneliness is the result, ironically, of the most connected society the world has ever known. Why? “Human connection” has moved from face-to-face contact to online exchanges in the digital world. The overwhelming noise of a loud, entertained culture keeps us busy and disengaged. Though the world is the loudest it has ever been, the silence within us can be deafening.. Does anyone see me? I am fully known by anyone? Many are experiencing emptiness in their relationships with others and the relationship with themselves. What does God’s Word say about loneliness? If the Spirit indwells the believer, can he or she truly be lonely?
