Living in this broken place means living in tension. People have profound capacities not only for justice, kindness, and love but also for injustice, cruelty, and hate. The church often reacts in one of two ways: The first is to flee from culture. The second is to simply attempt to avoid controversial issues. Both of these reactions offer ways to escape the tension. Let’s talk about our role as followers of Christ, and how He has called us to meet the cultural tension with the truth of the Gospel.
